Who we are
Eden Valley Prawns is a family-owned Scottish producer of fresh King Prawns. We are the UK's only King prawn farmer.
We farm Pacific white prawns (Litopenaeus vannamei) in a land-based recirculating aquaculture system at Eden Campus, near St Andrews in Fife. Our prawns are harvested to order and delivered chilled, not frozen, directly to customers and restaurants in the UK.
Our system is fully contained and designed to prioritise animal welfare, food safety, and product quality while minimising environmental impact.
How we farm our prawns
Most prawns sold in the UK are imported, frozen overseas, and stored for months before reaching the consumer.
We do things differently. Our prawns are grown, harvested, and dispatched from Scotland, allowing us to supply a fresh product with full traceability from farm to table.
